Federal Way’s Festival Days

The City of Hachinohe sent two performers to participate  in Federal Way’s annual Festival Days event the weekend of August 26-28, 2005.  The ladies are pictured here as they rode in the Saturday morning Festival parade.

The Sister City Association featured a booth at the Festival and the guests from Hachinohe spent time interacting with community members as they displayed the arts amd crafts of their country.  The women were great ambassadors for the sister city concept, as they played games with children and chatted with citizens- building friendship and understanding between the cities of Federal Way and Hachinohe, Japan.
